Hi Guys

Does any one have any advice about the best way to deburr a sword without accidentally sharpening it.

I usually start with a hammer!
Many of the nastier or deeper burrs have the edge deformed to the side, with hammer and some sort of anvil (often a bigger hammer ) I beat these back into the edge so as not to lose too much metal.

The remaining filing I do with a 'rounding' action, from edge to flat as I move down the sword.

my mate just puts it on an abrasive wheel for me and rounds it over...sharp, hmmmmmm, bwa ha ha ha!
