Hi

I have been training with the Exiles in Barking for a few months and am looking to buy my first sword. I have been doing some research and have narrowed it down to either the Albion Meyer or the Liechtenauer. I would really appreciate some advice as to which would be better.

Thanks

The Meyer is lighter and faster than the Liechtenauer, which has it's pros and cons. The main issue people have with it over the Liechtenauer is that the cross is much broader, so you can easily catch your wrists when you wheel the blade. Takes some getting used to.

Ho Owen,

the Meyer is what the majority go with (Exiles). Played with them both and I liked the profile equally from a visual point of view. But as a tool, I'd go for the Meyer.

Hey Steve, not sure which Marky you meant but yes, it's every bit as good as I said above.

They are pricey vs some other brands but they will last and have a garentee if they don't. Weight is great, flex is great and they look the part too.
